MATCH SCHEDULE IN THE CITY

About the city

Vancouver is the largest city in the Canadian province of British Columbia, with a Metro Vancouver population of about 2.8 million, the third-largest in Canada. The city hosts seven World Cup 2026 matches at BC Place (~54,000 seats, opened 1983, retrofitted in 2011), home of Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS) and the BC Lions (CFL). The slate covers five group games, a Round of 32 match and a Round of 16 match. Canada plays its second and third group games here. Vancouver hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics, with the opening and closing ceremonies held at BC Place. The main airport is Vancouver International (YVR), a hub for Air Canada and WestJet. June weather is mild and damp, 15-21 °C.
