About the stadium

Opened in 2003 in Philadelphia's South Philadelphia sports complex, alongside the city's NBA and MLB venues. Home to the Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) and Temple Owls (NCAA football). Permanent capacity is around 69,000. It hosts the annual Army-Navy Game, one of the oldest college football fixtures, and has staged the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup final along with other Concacaf matches. A rooftop array of solar panels and wind turbines makes it one of the most energy-efficient stadiums in the NFL. At the 2026 World Cup it stages six matches: five group games and a Round of 16 tie on July 4 — the first World Cup knockout match ever played on the United States' Independence Day, and the 250th anniversary of the country at that. It operates as Philadelphia Stadium during the tournament.
