About the stadium

Opened in 2009 in Arlington, between Dallas and Fort Worth. Home to the Dallas Cowboys (NFL). Its defining features are a retractable roof and two 274-metre arches that span the field and suspend a 49-metre videoboard above midfield. Permanent capacity is around 80,000, expandable past 100,000 for major events. The stadium has hosted Super Bowl XLV (2011), the College Football Playoff National Championship, and the Concacaf Gold Cup final. At the 2026 World Cup it stages nine matches — more than any other venue: five group games, two Round of 32 ties, a Round of 16, and a semifinal on July 14. It operates as Dallas Stadium during the tournament.
